In a rural village in China, two brothers, Yu and Liang, clash over the fate of their old family home. Yu, a successful architect, has planned a redevelopment project for the area, backed by Chinese investors in Europe, and sees the demolition of the house as a necessary step for his career. Meanwhile, Liang, hiding from creditors, secretly has turned the old house into a homestyle restaurant and sees it as an irreplaceable link to their family's roots. With time running out and pressure from investors mounting, Yu faces a dilemma: sacrifice the house for success or reconcile with his brother and their past

Xin Alessandro Zheng (Milan, 1997) is a director and screenwriter. He studied Media Design at NABA in Milan, where he embarked on productions both in Italy and China. In 2020, he filmed his graduation short film, ‘Where the Leaves Fall,’ in Wencheng. The film premiered at the Venice Film Festival during the 77th edition of the SIC and was showcased at various national and international festivals. In 2022, he won the 14th edition of the Mutti Prize, using the award to produce his second short film, “Xing Long”.
