Arianna, a sixteen-year-old with hypermnesia, is searching for a family memory that could reconcile
her mother and her grandmother before it’s too late.

Arianna is sixteen years old and has a special talent: she remembers everything. When she was little, her mother told her that it was because her memories are stored in her hair. As her beautiful red hair grows, so do her memories. In reality, Arianna suffers from hyperthymetic syndrome, a very rare condition, she can’t forget anything. Arianna earns money by being a "Capellara". Like a fortune teller, Arianna receives money to preserve the memories of the elderly in the nursing home where Marina, her mother, works. Arianna has a very difficult relationship with her mother. Marina, in turn, hasn't spoken to her mother Liliana for years. One day Liliana begins to show the first signs of senile dementia: she no longer recognizes Arianna, she calls her Marina, confusing the two people. In a moment of lucidity, she expresses to Arianna the desire to return to the house where she lived with her husband, abandoned for years. There, and only there, she will confess to Marina a secret that has never been revealed; Marina accepts. But once they reach their destination, Liliana has forgotten what she wanted to say. Arianna decides to delve into family memories to uncover that lost secret, hoping her mother and grandmother can reconcile before it’s too late. Yet, what she ultimately needs to realize is that sometimes, it’s necessary to let the past go.
